Dear SSES K-5 Families, 

During this past month, our students have worked diligently to complete our second i-Ready Diagnostic administration.  This is one of our important tools for understanding your student’s growth and provides educators with information that allows us to ensure that targeted instruction continues in order to support your child’s learning. 

As you know, the i-Ready Diagnostic is an adaptive assessment that adjusts questions based on student responses. Each math question a student receives is based on their answer to the previous question. For example, a series of correct answers will result in slightly harder questions, while a series of incorrect answers will yield slightly easier ones. The purpose of this is not to give your child a score or grade but to determine how to best support their learning. 

Family reports for i-Ready are now available in Powerschool. Below are the directions on how to access the report in Powerschool.  For any questions you might have,  we encourage you to contact your child’s classroom teacher or the SSES Math Specialist, Mrs. Stephanie Holroyd (sholroyd@er9.org).

 How to Access Your Child's Student Portfolio Assessments on the Parent Portal.

1. After logging into the Parent Portal, click on "Portfolio (+)" in the left navigation menu.

2. In the Portfolio + section, you can view your child's reports. Double-click on the name "iReady Reports" and click the score to open it.
