Dear SSES Grades K–5 Families:
During the month of June, students participated in the spring administration of the mCLASS Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS) screener. This assessment is part of our universal screening process and helps us track students' progress in foundational literacy skills across the school year.
Your child will be bringing home their mCLASS Home Connect report this week. This report provides valuable information about their performance on the DIBELS screener. The report includes an overview of results, a review of specific literacy skills, and suggestions for activities you can do at home to continue supporting your child’s reading development. Teachers have reviewed the spring data to evaluate growth, identify needs, and inform instruction for the beginning of next year.
